An 18-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday in South Chicago.

About 7:20 a.m. he was in the 8200 block of South Escanaba Avenue, when he was shot multiple times in the torso, Chicago police said. He was taken to the 8300 block of South Muskegon Avenue, where police located him.

The man, identified as Andrew Richmond by the Cook County medical examiner’s office, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

About 20 minutes prior, a 19-year-old man was killed when he was shot in the head in Rogers Park.

Area Two detectives are investigating.
