Teen among 2 shot in West Garfield Park

A 16-year-old boy was among two shot Tuesday in West Garfield Park on the West Side.

He and a 23-year-old man were on the sidewalk about 5:40 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Gladys Avenue when someone in a vehicle fired shots, Chicago police said.

The teen was struck in the groin and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. The man was hit in the thigh and is listed in good condition at Stroger Hospital.

No one is in custody as Area Four detectives investigate.
