A 56-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday in Irving Park on the Northwest Side.

About 8:20 p.m., the man was walking through an alley in the 3700 block of North St. Louis Avenue when four males, one armed with a rifle and another with a handgun, jumped out of a Honda CRV, Chicago police said.

They took the man’s wallet and cellphone, and one robber hit him in the head with the rifle, police said. The man refused medical attention on the scene.

No one is in custody as Area Five detectives investigate.
