Smash and grab burglar steals $1,600 guitar from Loop business

Police were investigating after a burglar stole a guitar from a business in the Loop early Friday.

The burglar smashed a window and grabbed the guitar, valued at $1,600, in the 200 block of South Wabash Avenue, according to a Chicago police spokeswoman.

Officers were called about 5 a.m. to investigate the burglary.

Additional details weren’t released.
