Armed robberies reported in Douglas, Oakland: police

Police are warning residents in Douglas and Oakland on the South Side of three armed robberies reported this month.

In each incident, one to three males approached someone, pulled out a gun and demanded property, Chicago police said.

One robbery was reported at 3:40 p.m. Feb. 12 in the 3600 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police said. Another occurred at 3 p.m. Feb. 15 in the 3500 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue.

The third took place at 4 p.m. Feb. 18 in the 3500 block of South Lake Park Avenue, police said.
