Authorities release name of man killed in Grand Crossing shooting

The 22-year-old was found outside Monday in the 7300 block of South Dante Avenue with gunshot wounds to his face and neck, Chicago police said.

Authorities released the name of a 22-year-old man fatally shot Monday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.

Keontaye Gregory Molette was found outside about 5:45 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Dante Avenue with gunshot wounds to his face and neck, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His death was ruled a homicide.

Area One detectives are investigating.
