Armed robbers target businesses in Logan Square, Bucktown: police

Police are warning business owners on the Northwest Side of a series of armed robberies reported this month in Logan Square and Bucktown.

In each case, the suspects robbed the business as well as employees, Chicago police said in a community alert. At least one of the robbers was armed with a handgun.

A robbery was reported at 8 p.m. March 10 in the 2100 block of West North Avenue, police said. Another happened at 5 p.m. March 15 in the 3700 block of West Lyndale Street, and a third occurred minutes later at 5:07 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Central Park Avenue.

The suspects were described as males 17 to 25 years old and about 5-foot-8.
