A man was in fair condition after being shot Tuesday night at a Near North hotel.

The man, 18, was on the 22nd floor of a hotel with several people when someone fired shots at him, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened about 10:50 p.m. in the 100 block of East Superior Street, police said. Media reports showed a police response at Hotel Audrey, 166 E. Superior St.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in fair condition, police said. No one was in custody.
