A 76-year-old woman was stabbed to death Thursday in suburban Bellwood.

The incident happened about 7:30 a.m. in the 3800 block of Van Buren Street, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Jearlean Willingham suffered multiple sharp force injuries and was pronounced dead just before 8 a.m., the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy ruled her death a homicide.

Bellwood police didn’t immediately respond to a request for details.
