Burglaries reported at Bronzeville, Kenwood restaurants

Burglaries have been reported at restaurants in Bronzeville and Kenwood on the South Side.

Chicago police have issued an alert after three recent burglaries at restaurants in Bronzeville and Kenwood on the South Side.

In each incident, someone broke a window to get inside the restaurant, Chicago police said.

The burglaries happened:

  • Between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. April 27 in the 4300 block of South Michigan Avenue;
  • About 6:30 a.m. May 8 in the 4300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue; and
  • Between 12 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. May 14 in the 900 block of East 47th Street

The burglar was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
