Police are seeking a driver that struck a police vehicle early Sunday in Austin on the West Side.
Three officers were traveling about 12:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Cicero Avenue when a black car ran a red light and struck the side of their unmaked police vehicle, Chicago police said.
The impact caused the police vehicle to skid and crash into a fence, police said. The driver of the black car did not stop and continued driving.
The officers were taken to an area hospital for observation and were in good condition, police said.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
