A 29-year-old man was shot to death early Tuesday in Marquette Park on the Southwest Side.

He suffered at least one gunshot wound in the 6600 block of South Sacramento Avenue about 11:45 a.m., Chicago police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Deonte Brewer. He lived in Marquette Park.

An autopsy released Wednesday found he died of a gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a homicide.

There was no one in custody.
