A man was found fatally shot in a car in Gage Park on the Southwest Side Thursday morning.

The man, 29, was discovered about 5:55 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Artesian Avenue with a gunshot wound to his face, Chicago police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified as Melvin Ajtun by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

No one was in custody.
