A man is accused of carjacking a delivery driver Sunday in Albany Park on the Northwest Side.

Deonta Sanchez, 25, allegedly battered a 55-year-old who was delivering food July 18 in the 4500 block of North St. Louis Avenue, Chicago police said.

Sanchez was arrested July 22 after a traffic stop in the 7000 block of South Jeffery Boulevard on the South Side, police said.

He was charged with one felony count of vehicular hijacking and misdemeanor counts of battery, reckless driving and driving without a license, police said.

He was due in court Friday.
