A 24-year-old was shot to death Friday night in West Garfield Park.
Marcus Jones, 24, was in a vacant lot about 7:15 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Monroe Street when he heard shots and felt pain, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Jones was shot in the chest and leg and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No one is in custody as Area detectives investigate.
