A 17-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting Thursday morning in South Shore.

The teen was walking in the 6900 block of South Jeffery Boulevard when he was shot in the calf about 5 a.m., Chicago police said.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, police said.

No arrests were made.
