A man was fatally shot Monday afternoon in West Pullman on the Far South Side.

The 27-year-old was in the 200 block of East 121st Street about 6:20 p.m. when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.

He was shot in the head and was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the man as Joseph Rallings.

No one is in custody.
