Teen shoots himself in the leg in Austin

The incident happened around 8 p.m. in the first block of South Parkside Avenue.

A 17-year-old boy shot himself in the leg Tuesday evening in Austin on the West Side.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. in the first block of South Parkside Avenue, Chicago police said.

He went to West Suburban Hospital, where he was in good condition, police said.
