Former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and reality-TV star Kristin Cavallari have called it quits after nearly seven years of marriage.

In Instagram posts Sunday, Cutler and Cavallari revealed they are getting a divorce.

‘‘With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce,’’ they wrote in separate posts on their personal accounts. ‘‘We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family.’’

Cutler, 36, and Cavallari, 33, have three kids together: son Camden Jack, 7; son Jaxon Wyatt, 5; and daughter Saylor James, 4.

The news comes as a surprise to some because the two were just in the Bahamas amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The couple has had issues in the past, however. Cavallari revealed in January that she had a falling-out with friend Kelly Henderson over rumors Henderson had an affair with Cutler.

‘‘When Season 2 was airing, there was a lot of talk on social media about Jay and Kelly having an affair,’’ Cavallari said during the premiere of Season 3 of ‘‘Very Cavallari,’’ according to People. ‘‘Not for one second have I ever thought that it was true. It wasn’t the actual accusations of them having an affair that made me upset; it was how Kelly went about it.’’
