Snow may be in the forecast for part of Thursday, but it’s never too cold for frozen yogurt, and National Frozen Yogurt Day offers sweeten the deal.

Those willing to brave the weather can stop by TCBY (The Country’s Best Yogurt) or Menchie’s for free frozen yogurt.

Customers will get their first six ounces of yogurt for free all day Thursday at TCBY, according to a news release.

TCBY has four locations in Chicago and 16 scattered throughout the suburbs.

A variety of soft serve and hand-scooped flavors, ranging from vanilla to butter pecan, will be available, along with various toppings. Flavors may vary by location.

Menchie’s, which has a Chicago location at 2510 N. Clybourn Ave. and five suburban stores, will offer Buy One Get One frozen yogurt between 3 and 7 p.m. Customers can also enter the chain’s online contest for a chance to win a $400 Menchie’s gift card.

Menchie’s offers the usual fro-yo with toppings as well as frozen yogurt cake.
