Trifecta

If only Phil Jackson would resign, I would hit my dream sports trifecta.

Bill Belichick’s Patriots not only lost in stunning fashion Sunday, but he exited in typical haughty fashion. Then a day later Bob Knight steps down in mid-season.

Now if only Jackson will exit stage left to go sit cross-legged and contemplate reading material somewhere far from the sporting lights. And I know some places he could go.

What does this have to with the outdoors, not a whole lot other than Jackson is a fly fisherman, Knight has a notorious history of bad shots in the field and Belichick went fishing at the Pro Bowl last year.

As the fat man once sang, “Two out of three ain’t bad.”
