Elizabeth Coulson Announces Her Candidacy for Illinois’ 10th Congressional District
On Monday, August 24th, Illinois State Representative Elizabeth Coulson will be joined by her colleagues, constituents, family, and friends to officially announce her candidacy for Representative in Congress for the 10th Congressional District. As State Representative for the last 12 years, she has fought for improvements to health care & education, while maintaining a strong focus on fiscal responsibility. As an educator and health care provider, she believes that her experience and leadership is now needed in Washington, and she is excited to embark on this new path.
“I am so thrilled that Beth has decided to run for Congress. Washington is in disarray, and I know that her unique background and leadership are needed immensely. I look forward to the positive changes she’ll be able to make – for the 10th District and the entire country.” said Denny Hebson, President of Hackney’s Restaurants and longtime Glenview resident.
As in the past, Beth will rely on her ability to build a strong grassroots campaign with residents and stakeholders in the community. Beth will be going door-to-door, speaking with voters, explaining why she is the best candidate to represent the residents of the 10th. She will also be calling on all volunteers to get her message out. Representative Coulson’s official announcement on Monday August 24th will be at the Glenview Park Center. It will be an opportunity to meet Beth and hear her views on the issues important to you, and to begin circulating her petitions.
“While I have truly enjoyed my experiences as a State Legislator, I believe my expertise can be instrumental in helping create a new national agenda that is responsive to the needs of the residents of the 10th Congressional District.” said Coulson. “I hope you will all join me on Monday, to hear my ideas for the future and to become a part of this campaign that we will build together.”
