SHARE Roosevelt grad Broadway bound — in first starring role

Courtney Reed, a recent graduate of Roosevelt University’s musical theatre program, has landed her first starring role on Broadway — beginning in February.

The Elgin native will play the role of Jasmine in the new Disney Theatrical Production of “Aladdin.” While this will mark Reed’s debut as a headliner — she previously did appear on Broadway in “Mamma Mia” and “In The Heights.” She’s also has been seen on TV in “CSI: NY,” “Law and Order,” and “White Collar.”

Previously, Reed played Jasmine in a Seattle production of “Aladdin.”
