Oprah Winfrey’s multi-million dollar estate in Montecito, Calif.

On the heels of the news Oprah Winfrey is marketing her Harpo properties in Chicago’s River West neighborhood, comes news she’s selling a lot of her household furnishings out in California. My old buddy, Montecito Journal columnist Richard Mineards, reports Winfrey has hired folks to stage a tented auction of furniture, carpets and accessories from her 23,000-square-foot Montecito mansion — set for Nov. 2 at the Santa Barbara Polo Club.

Reportedly the TV titan is prepping for a huge bash she’s planning to celebrate her 60th birthday in January at the estate — and has hired famous designer Rose Tarlow to help with the big bucks makeover.

Us Weekly reports the entertainment for the birthday ferte may feature Beyonce and Tina Turner — singing to a guest list expected to include Winfrey pals Julia Roberts, John Travolta and Tom Cruise.
