Fish of the Week: Big forest preserve crappie

Charlie Duggan caught a 16-inch crappie while fishing with his dad at Tampier Lake.

The young man from Evergreen Park was fishing on Oct. 20 with a minnow along rocks by 131st.

That’s an impressive crappie anywhere, but particularly from a Forest Preserve District of Cook County lake.
