Radio Waves: Anna and Sara Goodberlet, Bourbonnais to Alaska

Anna and Sara Goodberlet, mother and daughter, talk the outdoors from Bourbonnais to Alaska this afternoon on “Outside.’`

I originally suggested Anna come on when she responded with some good ideas to the column I did for the Sun-Times outdoors page about how few people take advantage of wild things around Bourbonnais before or after Bears Training Camp.

Anna brought her ideas. She suggested her daughter Sara come along and it was a great idea. It is a one of a kind “Outside” this week.

We ended up in places, such as a glacier in Alaska, I never expected to be.

BTW, I think Anna might fit the profile of what I would consider a perfect listener. And I forget to take a photo when they were in studio, so I had to pull hed shots from their family business web site.

Hopefully there will be a next time.

“Outside” airs from 4:30-5 p.m. Mondays on WKCC-FM (91.1) in Kankakee. The rebroadcasts are at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
