Half Acre expands into food

Half Acre Beer is expanding south. One door, that is.

The brewery and taproom, located at 4257 N. Lincoln Ave., has acquired the building next door, says President Gabriel Magliaro. Once permits are approved, he will bring in an architect to begin designing a restaurant.

Currently, there’s no food at Half Acre — only beer on tap and to go in bottles and growlers. And the new space won’t have a liquor license, Magliaro says, meaning diners could BYO by bringing drinks over from the brewery.

The to-be-named restaurant does not yet have an opening date.
