Woman hurt in rollover crash in Blue Island

(BLUE ISLAND) A driver was hurt when the car she was driving rolled over in south suburban Blue Island early Thursday.

Crews responded about 12:30 a.m. to the rollover crash near 127th Street and Winchester Avenue, Calumet Park Fire Deptartment Assistant Chief Donald Rush told reporters at the scene.

The driver, a woman whose age wasn’t immediately known, was found inside the overturned, Rush said. No one else was hurt.

She was taken in fair condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, officials said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
