Priceline.com changes name to Priceline Group

NORWALK, Conn. (AP) — Travel booking company Priceline.com Inc. said Tuesday that it has changed its name to The Priceline Group Inc., effective immediately.

The company includes the brands Booking.com, priceline.com, agoda.com, KAYAK and rentalcars.com.

The name change is meant to create a clear line between the company’s global Priceline Group business and The Priceline Group’s North American travel brand priceline.com, the company said.

Priceline Group will remain based in Norwalk, Conn.
