A man was wounded in a drive-by shooting early Sunday in the Northwest Side Albany Park neighborhood.

The man, 21, was walking on the sidewalk at West Lawrence and North Drake avenues at 3:20 a.m. when someone in a silver sedan driving by opened fire, police said.

Someone drove the man — a known gang member — to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he is listed in “stable” condition with a gunshot wound to the left shin, police said.

Police said the shooting is thought to be gang-related.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
