A man was found with critical head wounds after he was attacked early Monday in the Bucktown neighborhood on the North Side.

The man, 36, was found at 2:05 a.m. lying on the ground by a car in the 2000 block of North Elston Avenue with head injuries, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said
