Police: Man found hanging from tree on Lake Shore Drive

A man was found dead hanging from a tree Monday morning in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

The man was discovered hanging from a tree in the 5100 block of North Lake Shore Drive at 7:50 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The death is possibly a suicide, police said. Area North detectives are conducting a non-criminal death investigation.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
