CTA Brown Line trains are running normally after lengthy delays caused by a train derailing Thursday morning in the Northwest Side Albany Park neighborhood.
The Chicago Fire Department was called for a derailment in the train yard near Kimball about 7:30 a.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.
No passengers were on the train at the time, although one person, apparently the conductor, was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where their condition was stabilized, according to Fire Media.
All trains were suspended for more than two hours between Kimball and Irving Park due to the derailment. Shuttle buses operated at the affected stops.
As of 9:50 a.m., trains were moving again and full service was being restored, according to the CTA.
