Police are investigating after a woman was found dead Wednesday evening in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 58-year-old was found dead in the 2500 block of West Moffat at 5:45 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

The medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality but did not release additional details.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

Area North detectives are conducting an investigation.
