A 17-year-old boy who was reported missing from northwest suburban Crystal Lake has been located.

Brandon M. Vela was last seen about 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14 when he walked away from a family member in the 5000 block of Virginia Street, according to Crystal Lake police.

He was found Monday, the same day police issued a missing person alert, police said.
