Bryce Callahan returned to the Bears on Thursday, two days after being cut from the active roster, when he signed to the team’s practice squad.

The rookie cornerback appeared in Games 1 and 2 as a substitute. He made the team out of training camp as an undrafted free agent out of Rice.

Callahan took the practice squad spot vacated in a series of moves Tuesday — namely, the promotion of quarterback David Fales to the 53-man roster.
