WEEKEND GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2015, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2015 AND MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2015
On Saturday and Sunday, the President has no public events scheduled.
On Monday morning, the President will travel to Boston, Massachusetts. The departure from the South Lawn is open press, and the arrival at Boston Logan International Airport is open to pre-credentialed media.
While in Boston, the President will deliver remarks at the Greater Boston Labor Council Labor Day Breakfast. This event at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel and Towers will be pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed correspondents.
In the afternoon, the President will depart Boston, Massachusetts en route Washington, DC. The departure from Boston Logan International Airport is open to pre-credentialed media, and the arrival on the South Lawn is open press.

Schedule for the Week of September 8, 2015
On Tuesday, the President will welcome the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball Champion Duke University Blue Devils to the White House to honor the team on winning their Championship title. This visit will continue the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts to give back to their communities.
On Wednesday, the President will travel with Dr. Jill Biden to Macomb Community College in Warren, Michigan to deliver remarks on the importance of investing in skills and growing the economy. Further details regarding the President and Dr. Biden’s travel to Michigan will be available in the coming days.
On Thursday, the President will award the 2014 National Medal of Arts and the National Humanities Medal to distinguished recipients in the East Room; the First Lady will also attend. The National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities were established by the Congress in 1965 as independent agencies of the Federal Government. To date, the NEA has awarded more than $5 billion to support artistic excellence, creativity, and innovation for the benefit of individuals and communities.
On Friday, the President, the First Lady and White House staff will gather on the South Lawn of the White House to observe a moment of silence to mark the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
