Metra UP-North train strikes vehicle in Lake Forest, service delayed

Metra Union Pacific North line trains were stopped Saturday when a train struck a vehicle near suburban Lake Forest.

Metra announced the crash about 5:20 p.m.

It in not known at this time if there are any injuries resulting from the crash.

Riders should expect extensive delays, Metra said. Updates will be provide via the Metra.com website.
