Two drivers will be cited for traffic infractions after crashing in South Shore and injuring seven people, including a girl who was seriously injured, Chicago police said.

The crash happened about 12:45 p.m. at 67th Street and South South Shore Drive, according to Chicago Fire Dept. spokesman Larry Merritt.

Paramedics took a 14-year-old girl in serious-to-critical condition to Comer Children’s Hospital, Merritt said. She had a laceration to her forehead.

Another girl was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Trinity Hospital, he said.

Among the injured adults: One woman was taken in serious-to-critical condition to the University of Chicago, while three other women were taken to the same hospital in fair-to-serious condition.

Another woman was taken to Trinity Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, Merritt said.

No charges or citations have been issued.
