A 41-year-old man died from complications a week after being pulled from Lake Michigan in Northwest Indiana.
Taylor Wilson went into the water about 7 p.m. August 14 near Shawmut Drive and Lake Shore Drive in Michigan City, Indiana, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Wilson, of west suburban Lombard, was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center August 21.
An autopsy found he died from complications of drowning and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.
Michigan City fire officials didn’t immediately respond to a request for details about the incident.
Earlier this month, two Bridgeview teens died after they were pulled from Lake Michigan at the Portage Lakefront in Indiana. Another teen was rescued after falling off a pier at Whiting Lakefront Park while skateboarding.
