Woman struck and killed by CTA train in West Garfield Park

The woman fell off the CTA Blue Line platform in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road shortly after midnight Tuesday, police said.

Two people were hospitalized after a fight broke out June 5, 2022 at an Englewood CTA station.

A woman was killed early Tuesday after she fell off a CTA platform and was struck by a train in West Garfield Park on the West Side.

The woman, 42, was hit about 12:10 a.m. at the CTA Blue Line station in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road, Chicago police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified the woman.

Area Four detectives are conducting a death investigation.
