DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

MONDAY, JULY 29, 2013

In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. The President will then meet with senior advisors. These meetings are closed press.

In the afternoon, the President and former Secretary Clinton will meet for lunch in the private dining room. This lunch is closed press.

Following the lunch, the President will welcome the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants to the White House to honor the team and their 2012 World Series victory. The President will also recognize the efforts the Giants make to give back to their community as part of their visit, continuing the tradition begun by President Obama of honoring sports teams for their efforts on and off the field. The President’s remarks on the South Lawn are open press.

Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with civil rights leaders as well as state and local elected officials in the Roosevelt Room to discuss strengthening the Voting Rights Act and safeguarding every eligible American’s right to vote. The President will be joined by Attorney General Eric Holder and Secretary of Labor Tom Perez. The meeting is closed press.
