While the coronavirus pandemic has ended live racing for now, Hawthorne Race Course is offering online wagering for international races on a website and app.

With horse racing shut down in the state because of the coronavirus pandemic, Hawthorne Race Course is offering online wagering.

Bettors can place wagers on international races at clubhawthorne.com or download a phone app at clubhawthorneapp.com. The site and app can only be used by Illinois residents, the track said in a statement.

The track hopes to generate revenue to continue to maintain facilities and support staff.
