Meeks’ persistence, passion admirable

I have to give it to the Rev. James Meeks.

The former state senator is persistent.

OPINION

Meeks, whom Gov.-elect Bruce Rauner appointed to his transition team on Thursday, has a passion for education.

And that passion has not diminished through broken promises and bitter disappointments.

Frankly, Meeks’ advocacy around education is a good example of what it means to keep the faith.
