At times this season the Barrington girls basketball team has gotten off to a slow start and, according to coach Babbi Barreiro, lacked intensity. If Tuesday’s game against Dundee-Crown in the 32nd annual Charger Classic is any indication, that may soon change.
Sprinting out to a 13-0 lead and never looking back, the Fillies ran away with a 66-32 win in the 13th place game over the host Chargers in Dundee.
“We talked a lot about our lack of coming out with intensity,” Barreiro said. “Last couple of games we have really worked hard on that, and I think it showed.”
