The College Football Playoff matchups are set:

No. 1 Alabama against No. 4 Ohio State in New Orleans.

No. 2 Oregon against No. 3 Florida State in Pasadena, Calif.

Both games will be held on New Year’s Day, with the championship game a week later in Arlington, Texas, and you know what? That’s as far as we can get into Sunday’s big news without being sucked into the controversies and arguments of the moment. They will last a long time, too, at least until this time in 2015.
