Ridgewood dropped its third game of the season Friday, falling to Rich Central, 42-0 at home.

The Rebels (0-3) struggled mightily on defense once again, surrendering a half-dozen touchdowns after allowing Niles West and Argo to score 56 and 69 points in the first two games of the season.

Rich Central (3-0) has now scored at least 42 points in each of its first three games. Friday’s game was also the Olympians’ second shutout of the season, as Rich Central took down Joliet Central 44-0, in the season-opener Aug. 31.

Ridgewood will host Kankakee Sept. 20 for Week 4 action, while Rich Central will play Riverside-Brookfield at home the same night.
