THE SKINNY

Fenwick scored early and often against Gordon in the Catholic League crossover at Lane Stadium. The Friars stayed undefeated on the season at 6-0.

TURNING POINT

This one was never close. The Friars scored on their first five possessions and the starters were resting on the bench by the second quarter. The Rams’ lone score of the game came late in the third quarter on a 6-yard run by junior quarterback David Holiday.

THE STAR

Fenwick quarterback Gino Cavalieri made the most of his short time in the game. The 6-foot senior was 7-for-9 for 91 yards and three touchdowns.

BY THE NUMBERS

The Friars led Gordon (2-4) 40-0 by halftime and outgained the Rams 295-23 in first-half yardage. Fenwick senior running back Robert Spillane ran for 91 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Senior tight end Ryan Smith had three catches for 39 yards and two touchdowns.
