A 16-year-old boy was shot to death while walking through a vacant lot in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday night, police said.

About 9:50 p.m., Terrell Campbell was walking through a lot in the 300 block of East Pershing when two males walked up and shot him in the chest, legs and abdomen, officials said.

Campbell, of the 8800 block of South Wabash, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
