A 17-year-old boy was shot in the Austin neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

About 1:20 p.m., the teen was in the 200 block of North Parkside when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside opened fire, police said.

The teen was shot in the right thigh and taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
